Our 9th Wedding Anniversary

Well, yesterday marked a mile stone in my life. It was our 9th wedding anniversary. Wow. I just can’t believe it has been 10 years since we met and 9 years of marriage. I look at my husband and just still melt! He is such a hunk. I am more in love with him now than the day I met him. Here is a small list of some things I love about him:

1. He never gives up on me

2. He has never wavered in his love for me, he is my constant.

3. He has given me 9 years of laughter!

4. He is STILL my best friend.

5. He does things for me and our son and never complains. He is a true reflection of Jesus.

6. He drives our crappy car and doesn’t complain.

7. He is loud and boisterous and always the “life of the party”.

8. He embarrasses me, even though I want to hurt him because he thinks its funny.

9. He does crazy things just to be stupid and doesn’t care what anyone thinks.

10. He always tells me when he smokes a cigar, even though he doesn’t have to.

11. He is always looking for action.

12. He exaggerates his stories.

13. He gags when he brushes his teeth

14. He would rather wear a t-shirt, jeans and flops than anything else.

15. He doesn’t own briefs.

16. When we met he had corn rows in his hair

17. I have seen him with blue hair, red mohawk, no hair, long hair, bleached hair, short hair, shaggy hair, and really greasy hair.

18. He has a gift to make everyone feel like his best friend even if they just met.

19. Finally, no matter what we do we ALWAYS have a good time, even if it is being in the hospital with me for pre-term labor on our 9th anniversary.

I look forward to a lifetime of laughter, tears, hand holding, and adventure with my man. I leave you with the lyrics to Sarah McLauchlan’s song Push.

Every time I look at you the world just melts away
All my troubles all my fears dissolve in your affections
You’ve seen me at my weakest but you take me as I am
And when I fall you offer me a softer place to land

You stay the course you hold the line you keep it all together
You’re the one true thing I know I can believe in
You’re all the things that I desire, you save me, you complete me
You’re the one true thing I know I can believe

I get mad so easy but you give me room to breathe
No matter what I say or do ’cause you’re too good to fight about it
Even when I have to push just to see how far you’ll go
You won’t stoop down to battle but you never turn to go

Your love is just the antidote when nothing else will cure me
There are times I cant decide when I cant tell up from down
You make me feel less crazy when otherwise I’d drown
But you pick me up and brush me off and tell me I’m OK
Sometimes thats just what we need to get us through the day
